Well, we have been wanting to start on the baby’s room for awhile now but had other projects that needed finishing first. For my birthday, Joe’s family came down and got a really good start on the baby’s room! It turned into a nightmare the first night when we tried to get the wallpaper off with a steamer. It turns out that the original homeowners decided not to prep the wall before they wallpapered and applied it directly to the drywall. So when we started steaming the bottom striped section, it started damaging the wall. My husband, the smart man that he is, decided we would do a chair rail effect to not mess up the wall further. It still was a lot of work! I’d like to thank Joe’s family for all that they did; I know it was exhausting and stressful but the baby is just going to love this room when it is done! Also, thanks to our friend Brent who lent us some tools and his truck to make it happen! Here’s some pics of the progress:
