Growing Up Mudra

So, I have been horrible about hopping on here to post things lately. I’m hoping to continue to be better but we’ve been pretty busy working on the baby’s room…still. I think it is right within our reach of being complete (thanks to some helpers who have come down recently…more about this in a future post). I’m currently 36 weeks pregnant and turning the corner into the final stage. I can’t believe how quickly time has flown. We have found out that the baby is in a breech position and therefore raises our chances of having a c-section. Actually we’ll soon be scheduling one in case the baby decides not to turn head down. Here is a pic to update you on the belly size; bare with me as it is not my favorite picture, it was taken right after work last week and I was exhausted!

What else is going on? Well my family has had a lot of birthdays recently. Two big ones that I didn’t get to post were my niece Sammy and my niece Melissa this past week. Sam turned 10 and Melissa turned 20! I can’t believe they have both hit some big age milestones already (Sam hitting the double digits and Melissa is now is her 20’s!). I looked through all of my digital photos and couldn’t find any good ones that I had taken (so sorry Sammy, we’ll have to take some good pictures next time I see you)! Last but not least, in just a little over an hour away, on the 28th of April, we celebrate my sister-in-law Kristy’s Bday! Here’s a cute picture of her and her daughter Addison captured at my baby shower in Mansfield!

So as you all know now, Melissa and I are pretty much going through the same motions in our pregnancy being that she is only 2 weeks behind me. This weekend my mom and I were able to go to her baby shower which was hosted by her sisters. Melissa and Joe are expecting a baby boy…Finnegan! The shower was so nice and Melissa looks so cute! So the weekend I had my baby shower, we were able to hang out with Monica and Todd and later Jeremy and his wife Brandy stopped by as well. I do miss spending time with all of them; one of the downsides of living in Columbus. That day Todd had worked so hard in the morning and had his “manly” afternoon fun with my husband and was so tuckered out at the end of the evening he fell right to sleep. I couldn’t resist snapping a picture of sleepy Todd!

Joe has always wanted to do some sort of racing of his car. Now that he has a car that is acceptable for racing, he decided to do a little bit of Auto Cross this weekend. Basically, he isn’t racing other cars at the same time, but they do timed runs on the course. This particular one was hosted in the parking lot of Cooper Stadium and Joe was very excited. I didn’t get a chance to see him race but he came home with the biggest smile I’m glad he had fun and I’m sure this won’t be a thing of the past for him. I took a couple pics of his car that was waiting in the wings while he worked the event, the other pics are from the actual photographer that was there. Go Joe Go!!

That’s right it is Owen’s bday today! He is a big 3 YEARS old! This kid is growing up way to fast, I feel like he was born just a little over a year ago. I’m sure Joe and Mel (my brother and sister-in-law, Owen’s parents) are thinking the same thing. I just pray that if I have a son he is just as cute as this little guy, I can’t get enough of him.
