Growing Up Mudra

Our friends Adam and Dawn have been having us over on Fridays to hang out which works out wonderfully since they too have a baby born around the same time as Jillian (Remember Jaden Joel’s pictures?). Well a couple Fridays ago, they invited some other friends over as well and we had a big cookout. Their friends also have a baby that was born in May. Take a look at the three of them together…too precious! From left to right it is Jaden, Jillian, and Tyler.

Guess who is engaged?! My good friend Nicki found the man of her dreams and they are now engaged. We are so excited for Nicki and David and can’t wait until their wedding next year! Aren’t they just the cutest couple? And David, that was a serious ring…but perfect for our Nicki just like you! Congratulations to you both!

So Jillian is such a big girl these days. Aside from all the weight she has been gaining, she is smiling lots and talking up a storm. She loves to listen to us talk but joins in as if she is really having a conversation. The funniest part is when she intently watches our lips and tries to mimic them. If we are lucky we get to hear a little laugh from her on occasion as well! Well here are some 12 week pictures; I especially love the shoes that Grandma Speelman picked up for her!! So adorable!

Well, as you already know…I’ve been a little behind on the website updates. I’m hoping that I can try to make some time a couple times a week to keep you all on the edge of your seats for new posts. So much has happened in the last 24 days. I am now back to work…unfortunately. It is has sucked being away from Jillian when she continues to grow and do so much more. It just makes all the time I have with her each day more precious.

So here are few things from when she was 9 weeks and 10 weeks old. I was a bad mommy and didn’t snap any at 11 weeks! And hopefully by the end of the weekend I will have the 12 week pics up!

Dad (Joe) snuck up on us the other day while napping and took this picture. Normally Jillian and I aren’t napping together like this but I was exhausted and fell asleep with her in my arms…glad I didn’t drop her! It’s one of the few pictures that I am in and decided I would share my “Mommy and Jillian” moment.
