Who is REALLY telling the truth? Obama or McCain?

Monday 15 September 2008

So I had a nice conversation with Edie about politics over the weekend. She is just like me in that, we’re both so fed up with all the BS from both parties. But one thing she said was that when her and Barb looked at FactCheck.org, there were more Obama lies than McCain.
So, being the curious one that I am, I started searching for “Who is the bigger liar in politics” on google. And I found an interesting article release on Friday that actually tallies up the number of lies told by each candidate, and categorizes the lies into 3 categories based on their severity. The criteria for these categories of lies can be found on the PolitiFact.com website.

These stats were pulled from politifact.com, another bipartisan website that does fact checking for the St. Petersburg Times.

We can officially say that McCain is the bigger liar. And Obama tells the truth way more often.

WWRS? (What would Rush Say?) : “That’s just a lie being told by the liberal media.” This is the argument that all conservatives use, whenever some facts that are negative are released.

Read the article that pointed me to these facts.

And as always, Be Smart… Vote Obama!

And for a good Laugh… watch…

Here is another “fair” bi-partisan article

BEFORE ANYONE READS THE ABOVE ARTICLE, READ THIS ABOUT THE AUTHOR

(Kevin Hassett, director of economic-policy studies at the American Enterprise Institute, is a Bloomberg News columnist. He is an adviser to Republican Senator John McCain of Arizona in the 2008 presidential election. The opinions expressed are his own.)

1st of all, that article was wrote by McCain’s Adviser, so it is hardly “fair” OR bi-partisan.

bipartisan: Adj: representing, characterized by, or including members from two parties or factions.

Frankly, I don’t trust republican’s in financial matters either. Perhaps if we didn’t have a republican president that was so divisive, we would have had the parties working together. Or maybe if we had a Democratic President after 2004, we would have had another chairman, a Democratic one, who could have passed a bill that would have prevented this.

HOW ABOUT AN ARTICLE NOT BY MCCAIN’S ADVISER.

Looks like this year we are able to choose our candidate not only by his policies, but by thinking, is he a lesser liar. So, voters, defend your choice - who is competing honorably, and who is a bigger liar - Obama or McCain? http://www.votetheday.com/americas-20/presidential-candidates-bigger-liar-282
